At Jeffery’s we are mindful of the increasing interest in attracting birds to our gardens, want to aim for repeated and varied types of sightings and also to promote the health and welfare of each species whether they are seasonal or year-round visitors.

As an approved garden centre with the Devon Wildlife Trust (DWT) scheme, we constantly keep up to date with the latest advice and information about maintaining gardens, planting for, attracting and protecting all manner of species in a ‘wildlife-friendly’ way.

Research has shown that the amount spent on food alone for garden bird visitors has increased by around 500% in the last fifteen years and, at the same time, bird tables and nest boxes are becoming more and more popular to entice our feathered friends to breed, rest and shelter.
